sundarbans tour

Sundarbans

The Sundarbans is a vast mangrove forest situated at the delta of the Ganges, Brahmaputra, and Meghna rivers. It is one of the most unique and ecologically significant ecosystems. Straddling the border of India and Bangladesh, this UNESCO World Heritage Site spans approximately 10,000 square kilometres, creating a mosaic of tidal waterways, mudflats, and lush greenery.

Sundarbans is home to the elusive Bengal tiger, it harbours rich biodiversity, including diverse species of flora and fauna uniquely adapted to the brackish waters of its estuaries. Mangrove trees, with their intricate root systems, not only provide a habitat for numerous marine and terrestrial species but also serve as a crucial buffer against coastal erosion and storm surges.
